Everyone has had a zipper break, bunch up or fail— often at the worst possible moment. Jackets, luggage or even pants zippers jamming up then having to be tossed out has amounted to an incredible amount of waste worldwide. ZIPNRIP is a breakthrough new design that makes traditional zipper failures a thing of the past.
“Our daughters were always experiencing blown out zippers as well as my wife and myself. After several lost pieces, enough was enough,” says founder and creator Jeff Fleming on the inspiration behind the project. “So I decided to solve the problem once and for all. After several alterations and designs we finally found a way to create a zipper that promises to never jam or get stuck.”
ZIPNRIP is a clever new design that combines Velcro and zippers into a much easier-to-use product. The hook and loop fastener works similar to a zipper, which provides an easy way to use hook and loop fasteners in place of zippers. The fastener aligns and closes hook and loop fasteners, made known under the trademarked name “VELCRO,” with a pull of a slider. The interface disrupting member of the fastener separates the hook and loop fasteners, when the slider is pulled in the opposite direction.
