With their new menu, which has been launched ahead of the upcoming Valentine’s Day, Caron and her kitchen team are seeking to heighten the restaurant’s natural warmth and intimacy; and from the moment diners enter Delice & Sarrasin, she hopes they will be transported to the charming streets of Paris and will enjoy a true romantic escape.
Given the longstanding association of French cuisine and culture with romance, Delice & Sarrasin is pleased to be bringing their diners this same ambience and gustatory experience, and their new menu highlights a number of share plates and appetizers for two, rich desserts and quality French wines.
New menu highlights include their oyster mushroom Escargots Beurre Maitre D’hotel, a vegan interpretation of the moreish share plate, and their Oeuf Meurette a la Bourguignonne, a rich appetizer designed to be shared, which features a plant-based poached ‘egg’ in a rich red wine sauce, with vegan ‘bacon’ and authentic Parisian mushrooms.
On the sweet side, for couples to share, is their new Orange Creme Brulee, a light and citrusy take on the quintessential French dessert, and their rich vegan Dark Chocolate Mousse.
And, in the traditional French style, diners may like to extend their romantic dinner to include a post-dessert cheese course, in which case Delice & Sarrasin recommends their Plateau de Fromage Végétal, which features four artisan-made in-house cultured cashew cheeses.
